The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center is thrilled to have the following entrepreneurs in its Fall 2021 Milestone Makers cohort, all focused on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals #8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Milestone Makers is the Center’s flagship program, providing individualized mentorship and executive coaching, as well as access to the Center’s vast network of industry experts to help each founder with his or her milestone. Entrepreneurs in the Fall 2021 were hand selected after a competitive application process, and all hope to improve the lives of and support communities across the globe.

Alero Thompson Blue Sands Academy Nigeria Blue Sands Academy is an educational technology institution that is enhancing the digital knowledge of girls and introducing them to tech competitions. We train girls in Coding (Computer Programming), UI/UX Design, Photography, Videography, Graphics Design and further guide them through a career path in tech. We do this so that we can have more female representation in the tech sector. Our vision is to provide life changing opportunities for females where every girl child will have the confidence and fulfillment they need to live a fulfilling life. This is why we take proactive steps to ignite the interest in tech in high school girls and guide them to enroll for tech related courses in their university levels. We also give a laptop to that one girl child who excel during our training. |

Alex Harris Adadot UK Adadot helps managers improve team performance and wellbeing by analysing productivity and collaboration data. Over 67% of employees are struggling at work (source: Microsoft, 2021). 80% of managers spend up to 2 hours a day combining data sources trying to understand if their team is doing well or struggling. Adadot combines over 100 passive signals from collaboration and productivity tools like Slack, Jira and Gitlab with active feedback data from the Adadot platform to give each manager a clear view of their team’s wellbeing as well as recommendations on what to improve.
