From Aspiring Entrepreneur to Transformational Leader: My Journey with the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center

As the founder of G-Style Coaching, LLC, and a Maxwell Certified speaker, trainer, and coach, she brings over two decades of expertise in leadership development, business strategy, and team empowerment. A Defining Invitation
The journey to entrepreneurial success often begins with a single, pivotal moment. For me, it was an email invitation from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center that read, “You are invited to apply.” That message marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in my business growth. A referral had led me to this opportunity, but what kept me engaged was the welcoming community, the wealth of free resources, and the unwavering support from the Nasdaq Center team.
Finding My Place in a Community of Trailblazers
At the time of my enrollment, I was in the early stages of branding my business and beginning to generate revenue. I needed a space where I could refine my vision, connect with like-minded women entrepreneurs, and access trusted resources. The Milestone Circles program, Cohort 209, became that space. Guided by an incredible group of peers and my Cornerstone Mentor, Whitnie Whiley, I embarked on a journey of structured goal-setting and business expansion.
Beyond Expectations: A Journey of Growth
When I joined the program, my expectations were clear: develop a milestone that would push my business forward, build meaningful connections, and gain insight from experienced mentors. What I did not anticipate was how far-reaching this experience would be. Through the program, I not only achieved my milestone but also discovered opportunities to give back. I became a Cornerstone Mentor, a Program Facilitator for the Milestone Circles program, and soon, I will be participating in Mentor Makers—continuing the cycle of support that first uplifted me.
Setting and Achieving Meaningful Milestones
During my time in the program, my milestone was to develop a marketing plan to pitch for B2B clients. Not only did I accomplish this, but I also secured my first B2B client under an annual agreement—a pivotal moment in my business journey.
Now, my current milestone is even more ambitious: launching the 1st Annual Sister T.E.A. Movement on March 28-29, 2025. This event will bring together women in an empowering space designed to foster personal and professional growth. To bring this vision to life, I am building a dedicated support team, embracing the wisdom of the African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center has played a critical role in shaping both my company’s trajectory and my development as an entrepreneur. Their consistent delivery of tailored workshops, resources, and mentorship has been an invaluable pillar of support. Through this program, I learned to filter out distractions and communicate effectively with my target audience, a transformation that fueled my confidence and strengthened my voice as a business leader.
Paying It Forward
Having experienced firsthand the impact of this program, I have eagerly referred other women entrepreneurs to the Center. I believe that the ideal participant is a woman entrepreneur ready to take her business to the next level, seeking a close-knit community of support, accountability, and resources. Whether in the startup phase, growth stage, or navigating business maturity, the Nasdaq Center provides a structured path for success through milestone-driven progress.
A Journey of Purpose and Growth
Entrepreneurship has always been ingrained in my journey—from selling beauty products to creating event experiences and developing strategies to help others maximize their potential. However, the defining moment came in February 2021, when I officially launched G-style Coaching, LLC as a full-fledged business. That decision was a leap of faith—an all-or-nothing moment that propelled me into a purpose-driven career.
Today, my focus is on expanding the Sister T.E.A. Movement, ensuring that no sister walks alone on her personal or professional journey. This initiative is a testament to the power of community, mentorship, and shared experiences—values that align deeply with the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center’s mission.
Looking Ahead
The Center has opened countless doors for me—not only as an entrepreneur but also as a speaker, trainer, coach, and mentor. I am excited to continue growing with the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, leveraging its programs to refine my leadership, elevate my business, and uplift fellow women entrepreneurs.
As I always tell myself and my clients: “Growth starts with you.” With the right support system, mindset, and milestones, the possibilities are endless.
