Join Jillian Manus, Managing Partner at Structure Capital for an exciting discussion on the future of digital health with Guillaume de Zwirek, Founder of WELL and Dr. Carlos Bustamante, Founding Director of the Stanford Center for Computational, Evolutionary, and Human Genomics (CEHG) and Inaugural Chair of the Department of Biomedical Data Science.

If 2017 was a record-shattering year for digital health, what will 2018 and beyond bring?

Last year, we saw investments in digital health reach $7 billion with the most mega deals ever ($100M or more). It was also the year the FDA approved the “digital pill,” hospitals experimented with VR for pain management, and insurance companies officially integrated fitness wearables into wellness programs.

Today, healthcare is in a state of disruption and opportunities for change are abundant. There are also real challenges. With escalating healthcare costs, overburdened hospitals, and an aging population facing chronic conditions, this session will explore how technology can provide sustainable solutions for both patients and providers. Jillian identifies key trends and evaluates their impact for the future. And she’ll explore new systems of support along with critical challenges founders and investors face as they strive to improve healthcare for all.
